- Greenland notes: (May or may not be related to Harry)
From: jncwilson98@yahoo.com (http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ROC.2ACI/285.1.1)
Gus Greenland was indeed related to the Greenlands that I speak of. Gus' great-grandfather was also my grandfather's great-grandfather. Isaac Greenland (whom I refer to as the original George, b. 1797) came over to Newfoundland in the 1820's from England and settled in Conception Bay North, finally settling in Cold East Point, now known as Coley's Point. He married Rachel Russell and they had 11 children. Gus' parents were Stephen and Mary (nee French). His grandparents were Henry and Anna (some say Hannah) (nee Mercer). My mother, Elizabeth, was a Greenland. My grandfather is Cecil (wife Grace); he will be 98 years old in October. My great-grandfather was John. My great-great grandfather was Stephen (wife Elizabeth) and then, of course, George and Rachel were my Great x3 Grandparents. I have the tree traced back as far as him. I am missing a few members and am hoping to complete it. Do you have any info regarding Gus and May Reynolds family? Did they have children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren? I would love to know, at least to be connected to someone who could answer my questions. Thanks in advance. You could also try my email address.
