The 1921 Census for Rattling Brook lists a widower named William Budgell, born September 1833 at Three Arms. Listed with him is his widowed daughter Maud Noble, born March 1883 at Pilleys Island. William could not have been born in 1833 because his sister Harriett was born on August 30, 1833. He could not have been born at Three Arms because his step father (John Burge Wells), built a fishing room there in 1838, and moved his household there in 1841.
William may have married again, to a woman named Sarah, born about 1874, died January 9, 1914 at age 40, buried at Pilleys Island. If so, they had a son named Roland Budgell, born about 1911, died July 19, 1912 at age 9 months and 12 days, buried at Pilleys Island.
William Budgell died at Rattling Brook on October 1st 1926 at age 95. He was buried on October 2nd 1926. [United Church Parish Records - Kings Point]
