- A newspaper clipping, undated contains the following, which may or may not be the same Willism McLean.
William McLean, for many years a resident of this place, died at Dunbar recently, aged 78 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Three years ago the deceased went to reside with his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Dickey of |Dunbar. He was born in Scotland and came to this country when 18 years old and settled in this vicinity. He is survived by nine children, viz.: Christopher and Thomas, of Chesterville; Mrs, Samuel Dickey of Dunbar; Rev. D.C. of Pier, S. Dak., Frank and William and Mrs. John Eberhardt of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. A. McMillan of Detroit, and Mrs. A. Laden of Bkack Hills. Mrs. Eberhardt and Frank Mc|Leab=n attended the funeral service, which were conducted in the \\Presbyterian Church by Rev. Mr. Carmichael. The remains were placed in the vault at North Williamsburg. The large attendance at the funeral shows the esteem in which the deceased was held.
