Arthur was born 1880 on Rowsell's Island. He was a fisiherman and cooper.
He lived in Leading Tickles, Boot Harbour, Hall's Bay, Mansfield's Bight, Curling, Corner Brook and worked at the C.B. mill.
When they lived in Corner Brook, across the street from where they ended up at 86 Caribou Road, they had horses Dan and Jack, that lived in the 'basement'. The horses belonged to G.F. Anstey and Baxter Rowsell. When they moved to #86, Ben was given the job of bringing the pisspot from the old to the new house.
He was "out to the ice" 1904, 1905, 1905, but cannot remember ever seeing a foreign vessel" - RnRowsell
He, on a trip to St. John's, bought "Wellington" boots at Perlin's - two brothers.
