  • Notes
    • Diary of Reginald Rowsell, entry for June 7 1941 reads:
"On June 5 I received the following telegram from Ruby. "DAD PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY MORNING BEST WISHES UNTIL MONDAY LOVE"
Although this does not jive with the date of burial from the cemetery which said he was buried on 1941 May 1.

A letter received by Reg from Ruby on May 23 mentions that she was spending time with her father so obviously he was not buried on May 1.

From: Register of Deaths, Book 13, 1941, District of St. John's. Pages 57-69, 325-330, 407-408:
Died: June 4 [at] Prescott St
