  A Bible was found in the Elliott collection with the following inscription: 'Agnes McLean born on the 18th September 1823 in "The Isle of Dalton" Dumfrieshire, Scotland, Gr. Br.' Elliott Family Bible has notation for an Aunt Agnes McLean who died on March 5, 1910, age 86 years. The following was published in the Kemptville Weekly Advance, March 10, 1910: "Miss McLean, Kemptville, An aged lady passed away Saturday, March 5th, in the person of Miss Agnes McLean, sister of Mrs. Elliott of Kemptville, at whose home she died. Deceased was born in Annan in Dumfrieshire, Scotland, September 19th, 1823. She has been living with her sister for a couple of years past. The funeral service was held on Monday, 7th. inst., being conducted at the home of Rev. N. McLaren of Bishop's Mills. Interment was made in the Elliott plot in St. James' cemetery."
