- Rebecca was baptized August 22, 1852, age 6 months.
The 1921 Census for Three Arms lists a Rebecca Strong, born February 1856 in Jackson's Cove, Methodist, Private Income, Widow.
Rebecca Jane died and was buried at Harry's Harbour.
The will of Rebecca Jane (Langdown) Strong
This is the last will and testament of me, Rebecca Jane Strong
presently residing at three Arms, Notre Dame Bay Newfoundland.
I hereby revoking all former wills at any time made by me, and
being desirous of settling my affairs in the event of my de-
cease, and having full confidence in the persons afternamed as
Trustees and Executors, Do hereby Give Grant, Assign, Dispose
Convey and make over to, and in favor of James Norris J. P.
Merchant Three Arms Notre Dame Bay Nfld. John V. Wells,
fisherman, Three Arms Notre Dame Bay Nfld. and as the survi-
vor of them, as trustees and in Trust for the purposes after-
mentioned the whole estate and effects, heritable and movable,
real and personal, presently belonging to me and that shall
belong to me at the time of my decease, together with the
whole Writs and Vouchers thereof: and I Nominate and Appoint
the said James Norris, John B. Wells and the survivor of
them to be my Sole executors and trustees of this my will,
but declaring that these presents are granted in Trust al-
ways for the purpose aftermentioned, viz: (first) I direct
my executors and trustees to first pay my debts, personal and
testamentary expences. (Second) I give, devise and bequeath
unto:- John R. Knight all the propert, houses and land of
which I die possessed, and if he should die without issue.
Said aftermentioned property to revert to Charles Strong and
Ward Sandy Ross Strong, and should either of these die, the
whole after property to revert to the other to do
with as he may wish. And I reserve my liferent and full
power to alter, innovate, or revoke these presents in whole
or in part. And I dispense with the delivery hereof. And I
consent to the registration hereof. And I consent to the
registration hereof for preservation. In witness whereof I
have subscribed these presents written (in so far as not
printed) by Ambrose Dower, fisherman at Three Arms, N. D. Bay
this eleventh day of May 1915 Nineteen hundred and fifteen.
