  Newspaper account, Jan 26 183: died at St. John's, on the 15th inst. Mr Robert Barber age 54 , anative of Galloway, Scotland, 33 years spent in this country. Lately as a bookkeeper for Messrs. T & J Breclebank. Another newspaper account, Jan 19 1837: On Sunday evening las, after a short illness, Mr Robert Barbar, a native of Galloway, Scotland, aged 54, 33 of which he had spent in this country, and the last few as bookeeper in the house of Messars. (T &) J. Brocklebank. it is melancholy that has left a wife and seven choildren in circumstances of great destition. His funeral took place yesterday from residance of W. Hart Gaden, Esq. Two other children were born in St. John's, but names are not available.
