Notes - There is some doubt about place of birth.
Philip and Virtue Wiseman lived in Tizzards Harbour during the early 1800's. They had a daughter, Hannah Wiseman, who married William Anstey.
The Wisemans' and Ansteys' later relocated to the Little Bay Islands area.
1836 Census for Tizzards Hr lists Philip Wiseman as head of a family of 10 people:
4 males under 14 years of age
2 males between 14 and 60
3 females under 14 years of age
1 female between 14 and 60.
This would seem to indicate that they had eight children or 7 children and a boarder or a parent of one of the spouses.

By 1811 there were seven fishing rooms, one of which belonged to Philip Wiseman.
