- Dennis Cross reports a sixth son, Capt. George Field, who was lost at sea. This was finally confirmed Sept 2004 with the finding of the will of Martha Field, wife of Capt. George Field. See notes under Martha Field.
Note
No baptism records were found for any of Capt George's children. Given George died in 1886 aged 79 yrs he is definitely the oldest & only FIELD living in the Trinity area in the early to mid 1800's. We are assuming that he is the father of all the other FIELDs who married from 1855 on

Is this the same George S Field? It probably is. Wareham is in the parish of Poole, which is in Dorset.
