  Thursday, December 30, 2004 The Halifax Herald Limited WISEMAN, Ian Rupert WISEMAN, Ian Rupert - 54, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day (2004) after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. He will be sorely missed by his beloved daughter, Evelyn Rose; wife, Nancy Robb; mother, Margaret Rose; father, Rupert; sisters, Barbara Neely and Gail Wiseman-Reed. He will also be missed by his dog, Roxy. Born on June 6, 1950, in St. John's, NL, Ian was an award-winning television producer, professor and writer. He wrote several books of humor and non-fiction and, during his early struggle with MS, two collections of poetry. Diagnosed in March 1994, Ian faced his disease with dignity and humor. Many thanks to those who helped him throughout his journey: Home Care Nova Scotia, especially Cindy Bell; Northwood Home Care, especially Zibi, Joanna, Suzanne, Valerie, and Mary; and Dr. Graeme Bethune.
