At time of 1921 Census, lived on Prescott Street, Kempville, Ontario with wife Mabel and a niece Gwendolyn Hagen who was 11 years old. Edward was 29, and his wife was 42 at the time of the census (which does not jive with their birthdates).

Edward M. Elliott
Final respect to the memory of one of Kemptville's most highly esteemed residents, Edward M. Elliott, was paid at his funeral which was held from his late residence on Wednesday afternoon to St. James Anglican church where Rev. W.H. Bradley of North Gower conducted the service which was attended by members of the council, local firemen and a large number of citizens.
Mr Elliott had been in poor health for some time and had been confined to his bned for the past two months. He passed away at his home on Sunday in his 78th year. He was born and educated in Kemptville and was a son of the late John ELliott and his wife Elizabeth McLean. He had carried on a painting and decorating business for many years and always took a keen interest in the welfare of his town being a member of the volunteer fire department for some 45 years most of which were in the capacity of secretary. He was also a musician and played in the Citizen's band here for over 55 years and he had been a member of the I.O.O.F. for 42 years, being a past district deputy master.
With an escort of Firemen leading, the casket proceeded to the church placed upon the Fire Department pumper.
Numerous wreaths showed the high regard in which he was held and were received from the municipal council, the I.O.O.F, the Family and friends.
Surviving is his widow, the former Mabel Hagan, a brother, R.J. ELliott of Ottawa, and two sisters, Miss Margaret and Miss Ella Elliott, both of Ottawa.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Alex Shaw, Robert Bailey, James Gaw, Earl McClenaghan, C.J. Richardson and Dr. R.A. Patterson.
