Notes - The Elliott family Bible says that John Alexander (father) died in 1888 at age of 70. But it also says he was born in 1826, which would make him only 62 at death.
The spelling County Farmanaghe was used in his bible.

In the 1871 census they were living in South Gower township, ages 45 and 30, with their son Edward, age 1.
In 1881 they were in Oxford Township. In 1891 Elspeth (a widow) and her family were in Marlborough Township, and in 1901 they were in Kemptville. Their location from 1890-1892 was on lot 3 of the Broken Front of Marlborough township. In 1894, the family was still on that lot but it was John Jr., aged 21, and not Elspeth whose name was on the assessment roll.
