Notes - Birth date calculated based on his letters written in 1981 in which he says he is 95. In the same letter, says that his grandfather, Solomon Rowsell, died the same season that Israel died on the Labrador. They brough his corpse home to his young wife and son. His father Solomon was not born until seveal weeks or months later. Does this mean there was another son already born when the father died? BW: William resided in Rattling Brook with his wife and son in 1921. No further mention of the son. He probably died. Letter he wrote to RNR states that he had a great aunt who married a Burke.
Jessie Colbourne states that William and his wife Florence adopted Daisy [unknown] in 1921.
The 1935 census does show an adopted daughter (age 17).
