After Maria's death, married Julia C. Thistle, Jan 18, 1882.
They had a daughter Emma, Aug 1, 1886. Baptised Aug 15, 1881. Carbonear Methodist.

Passed peacefully away on January 18, 2003 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay,
Charlotte (Lottie) Goodyear of Lumsden, age 83 years. Predeceased by her
husband, Westbury Barbour and husband, Raymond Goodyear; son, Ivor Barbour;
brothers, William White, Carmen White and Cyril White. Left to mourn with
fond and loving memories are her son, William Barbour (Patsy) of Lumsden;
daughter, Elaine Bailey (Winston) of Arnold's Cove; step-son, Curtis
Goodyear (Christine) of Lumsden; step-daughters, Betty Gibbons (Lorenzo) of
Lumsden, Patsy Fern (Larry) of Saskatchewan; sister, Myrtle Goodyear of
Halifax, NS; sisters-in-law, Nellie White of St. John's, Joyce White of
Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and
a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on
January 21st at Wesley United Church, Lumsden with Rev. Miriam Bowlby
officiating. Interment followed at the United Cemetery, Newtown. Donations
in her memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Newtown.

Wesleyville-Musgrave Harbour.

Sophia Taylor (Abel, #6) was born on 14 May 1856 at Carbonear, NF, CAN. She married John Charles Winsor (see #2), son of George William Winsor and Selina Mahaney, on 24 Feb 1885. She died on 10 Jun 1912 at Carbonear, NF, CAN, at age 56.

Unknown source: birthdate is May 16 1868, 2nd name is Allen The family went to live on Gull Island in the year 1884, the light was lit for the first time by my father in June 1884. The "Queen" was lost on the Gull Island Dec 11, 1867. Your grandfather found the dead bodies in the spring of 1868 while on their way seal hunting in their own Little Barque of sixty-seven tons. So you see the lighthouse was built before the years 1883 and 84.

No death date found so far (Oct. 2022) The last letter that my father received from Israel was in 1953 when he was alive and well.

The two daughters of Ken Rowsell (son of Israel) have different dates recorded for the death of their grandfather, Isreal. Francis Hollett has December 1959, while Theresa has December 15, 1960.

A Thomas Rowsell (married to a Grace Rowsell) had a son Eli baptised Aug 15 1848 at age 10 months. therefore born Oct 1847) (source: Anglican; Mission of Exploits; District of Twillingate" Vital Statistics Volume 86 1841 - 1857) 4.
