O’Connell Centre, Corner Brook at the age of 84 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Peter (Joan), Steady Brook; 5 grandchildren: Michelle (Greg), Edmonton, AB, Deborah (Paul), Corner Brook, Ian (Jennifer), Corner Brook, Rachelle, Stephenville and Todd (Sheri), Mount Pearl; 11 great-grandchildren: Randy, Kristyn, Kayla, Samantha, Hailey, Alan, Jessica, Liam, Danielle, Jaime and Colin, brothers: Allister (Marjorie), Corner Brook, Tom (Laura), Bay Roberts, Ross (Debbie), Deer Lake and Cecil (Sylvia), Corner Brook; sisters: Helena Anderson, Corner Brook, Rose (Lorne) Wheeler, St. John’s, Mary Perkins, Florida and Edna (Larry) Ivany, New Hampshire; sisters-in-law: Joan (Alan) Easton, England, Joyce Rowsell, Corner Brook and Jean Kirkaldy, Wales, UK. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends and Conrades. He was predeceased by his wife Iris (nee Kirkaldy), infant son Robert, Parents Thomas and Helena (nee Locke), brother William and brother-in-law Robert Kirkaldy. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook Wednesday 7-9 p.m., Thursday and Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive with Majors Ron and Joyce Stuckless officiating. He was predeceased by his great grandson Devon Collishaw, and his parents Thomas Rowsell, Little Bay Islands, and Helena (nee Locke), Little Bay Islands.
