The diary of Arthur William Rowsell for 1917 contains what appears to be a military address for Joseph Anstey in London England indicating he had joined up (or been conscripted) into service for WWI. A letter from his sister Blanche to Blanche's son, Reginald, dated July 19, 1936 Corner Brook: "Uncle Joe will be leaving Boston next Sunday for home. He wrote us to see him going along so it won't be long before he will be back with Grandma. I feel it a new [?] responsibility but some one has to care for her. From Diary of Reginald Rowsell, dated August 31, 1935: "When we arrived we found that Uncle Joe, mother's brother, had come to visit us. He is a naturalized American citizen. The January 1, 1887 issue of the Twillingate Sun states A Thomas Rowsell of Leading Tickles was appointed to the Church of England Board of Education at Exploits. From the Twillingate Sun of October 6, 1884: "To the memory of Peter ANSTEY, the beloved son of Mr. William ANSTEY of Little Bay Island, who died September the 26th, 1884, aged 22 years. He married last March to Mary Taylor, from Cupids, daughter of Nathaniel and Patience Taylor. He left the world triumphant, and no doubt is gone to eternal Glory. His funeral took place on the 30th, and was attended by a large congregation. The Rev. J. 238	An email from a Ellen Parsons in 2019 asked about her grandmother Alma Guy, daughter of Joseph Hull and Lillian Whitehorn. Alma was born a Hull, however her mother Lillian Whitehorn died and she was adopted by a family member near Buchans, NL and their last name was Guy, which she took on moving forward as Alma Guy.
