Elliott Family Bible has notation for an Aunt Agnes McLean who died on March 5, 1910, age 86 years. The following was published in the Kemptville Weekly Advance, March 10, 1910: "Miss McLean, Kemptville, An aged lady passed away Saturday, March 5th, in the person of Miss Agnes McLean, sister of Mrs. Elliott of Kemptville, at whose home she died. Deceased was born in Annan in Dumfrieshire, Scotland, September 19th, 1823. She has been living with her sister for a couple of years past. The funeral service was held on Monday, 7th. inst., being conducted at the home of Rev. N. McLaren of Bishop's Mills. Interment was made in the Elliott plot in St. James' cemetery." 137	A newspaper clipping, undated contains the following, which may or may not be the same Willism McLean. William McLean, for many years a resident of this place, died at Dunbar recently, aged 78 years, 4 months and 15 days. Three years ago the deceased went to reside with his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Dickey of \|Dunbar. He was born in Scotland and came to this country when 18 years old and settled in this vicinity. He is survived by nine children, viz.: Christopher and Thomas, of Chesterville; Mrs, Samuel Dickey of Dunbar; Rev. D.C. of Pier, S. Dak., Frank and William and Mrs. John Eberhardt of Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. A. McMillan of Detroit, and Mrs. A. Laden of Bkack Hills. Mrs. Eberhardt and Frank Mc\|Leab=n attended the funeral service, which were conducted in the \\Presbyterian Church by Rev. Mr. Carmichael. The remains were placed in the vault at North Williamsburg. He was apparently with Mark when he discovered the bodies from the "Swansea" on Gull Island in 1867. A Benjamin Rowsell listed as a fisherman in Lovell's 1871 Business Directory for Leading Tickles.
