HI! I just discovered your Web site after Marie-Paule mentioned it. It is very nice and interesting. Many things have changed in both our lives, since I now live east of Ottawa, in Russell (near Embrun) and am beginning to think (with trepidation) about retirement. I notice there is nothing on your site since your 2010 Christmas letter - and unfortunately I do not function well on Facebook. I have a question to ask you: You came back to memory as I was "Googling" myself because I needed to find the title of a newsletter that bought two book reviews from me a few years ago. I was quite surprised at the number of entries under my name - quite unbelievable, in act. But one of them was about some works of art for sale, and I recognized the titles. I see now in your Web site that you sold a big house to move into a small condo - and you probably had to downsize. I noticed that the offer for sale "closed" some time in 2010, and I was wondering if you did find a taker. Otherwise, I would be quite happy to buy them back from you, the larger of them, in particular, is one of my very best ever. But if you did find an interested buyer, it would also be good news, it helps to spread my minimal reputation as an artist... If you are in Ottawa, please phone me at 613-445-3753 (it is not a long distance call). And I wish you the very best for the future. Marthe

Enjoyed your unvarnished comments. I think you would blog more if you put in happy feelings as well as the grumps. Dee the old philosopher

Hi Norma, George White, my cousin, put me on to your web site; and, I am enjoying it. I liked the photo of Aunt Ethel Woodworth from Point Leamington. Guess you know that she was the mid-wife there for years, and delivered over 500 babies in her day!! Everyone called her Aunt Ethel, but she really was my great-great aunt, I guess. My grandmother's aunt, so she was my "shirt-tail" aunt. Have you heard that term before?

Well a good newfie once wrote about his life, it is full and the sun shone and made it very bright.A simplistic view but the simple things in life give the most pleasure.

As a 12 year old kid, I got the Dutch translation of "uncle Whiskers" and loved it. Now my sister has a cat with one paw removed (due to cancer) and I was looking for a place to buy the book. This is the only site that hit, with the "uncle Whiskers/Philip Brown" combination. Someone here might be able to tell me where to look. Thanks, Patricia

Nurse, I thought I could just sneak a peak, but I see I am required to post. E mail me if you are looking for a real writers newsgroup where the people are better behaved and are interested in improving their work.

Problems with your link to guestbook/email from home page? (I used URL). Anyways, folks, if you're taking the time to read these entries in the guestbook, how about adding a nice comment or two of your own? It only takes a minute. Now, if we could only talk Norma into letting us publish some of her work...

Wanted to visit and say Hi. I see your new hubby has signed just before me. A man of few words, I can tell. Strong and silent, eh? Things are going well at the restaurant. We even serve lattes now. Imagine that. Brings in a whole new crowd. Lots of Internet folks and people with frizzy bitches, or whatever that dog is called. Chow.
