Family and Friends

Our Wedding

The two most enjoyable parts of my life, just ahead of the smell of skunks, are my family and friends.

I was thinking the other day just how rich my life has been thanks to the incredibly large number of people who are or have been my friends.  And where are they all now?  Just a while ago, I found some of them through the Internet, after not having had contact with them for over 40 years. Check them out.

My parents knew a lot of people thanks to their jobs - my Dad was a United Church Minister and my mother did everything else - piano and singing teacher, church organist, general all-around-town lady who knew everyone.  I still have contact with some of their friends despite our age difference.

My first marriage put me in contact with a lot of people I otherwise would not have met. As a result I have in-laws and friends all over North America and the Caribbean.

Working in the computer field for 22 years, the last 13 as a consultant, enlarged my circle of acquaintences greatly since I was in and out of various workplaces, meeting many people, some of whom I don't see often but whom I greatly enjoy when I do.

"Getting wired" in 1992 resulted in making more friends and in meeting John, who is probably the most wonderful person I have ever met.  Fortunately, the feeling was mutual and we married in 1999 after having been together for nearly six years.
